Hello! Hi!

I’m Stacey McLachlan, a writer, magazine editor, comedian, and illustrator.

I am currently editor-in-chief for Vancouver magazine. I’m also a senior editor at VM’s sister mag, Western Living, and author of the National Magazine Award-nominated 'City Informer' column.

I write regularly for Dwell and Hootsuite, as well as for other editorial, content marketing, copywriting and ghostwriting clients. All told, I’ve been writing for print and digital media for two decades now, and I’m currently working on my first novel (slowly).

My work covers a wide range of topics, from SEO-focused thought-leadership to profiles of mushroom foragers, but my specialties include design, people, social media strategy, and humour. Oh, and film and TV development, too.

I’m also active in Vancouver’s sketch and improv comedy scene. If you’re reading this, you legally have to come to my next Fringe Fest show. I’m currently the chair of the Little Mountain Gallery Comedy board.

Former big passion projects include hosting a podcast about MasterChef Junior and producing Smash Comedy Festival.

I live in Vancouver with my love interest Max Mitchell (please employ his financial counselling services or enjoy one of his wrestling shows) and our cool toddler. You can usually find me at the beach, or cleaning sand out of my bag.
